Mandrake is native to southern Europe and the Mediterranean regions of
Greece and Rome.
Mandrake is perennial plant with shield shape leaves and having large
cup like single waxy flower that droops from between the leaves.
The fruit is lemon-yellow, ovate and about 2 inches long usually called
apples.
The plant generally grows to a height of 12-18 inches; the leaves are
umbrella shaped, smooth and paired.
Mandrake is cultivated in partial or shady lands and sometimes it is
been found on wastelands, stony areas as weed.
It is also found along roadsides, rich woods, fields, forests and
thrives in rich moist soils.
Found extensively in fields and clearing in England to Florida and Texas
